RSS technology makes it easy to stay abreast of BMI news and events. Using an .xml-based "RSS feed," this method of disseminating news content on the WWW is often referred to as a "Web feed" or as "Web syndication." This new media technology is used by such news organizations
as NPR, the
BBC, CNET,
and Slate.com and such businesses as Apple, The
Motley Fool, and MSN. Like the BMI, think-tanks such
as the Urban Institute and
the Hudson Institute also use Web feeds
to circulate news and events information.
